Introduction to hot push seamless elbows and stamping seamless elbows

Hot push and stamping are two different processes used in the manufacture of seamless elbows.

Stamping elbow manufacturing process is the earliest application of batch production of seamless elbow forming process. In the commonly used elbow specification model, the stamping elbow has been replaced by the hot push elbow, but in some specifications because of the elbow production quantity is relatively small, wall thickness is too thin or too thick, the product has special requirements to use the stamping production manufacturing process.

The pushing process of pipe elbow

In the forming process of stamping elbow, the diameter should be the same as that of the produced elbow. Stamping elbow is divided into cold stamping and hot stamping. The manufacturing process of stamping elbow is not as good as pushing elbow, and its quality and appearance are not as good as the former. The outer arc of stamping elbow is in the state of stretching when forming, and there is no excess metal in other parts to compensate, so the wall thickness in the outer arc is about 10% thinner.

And the hot push process refers to the process of using elbow push machine, core mold and heating device, using the blank material on the mold to run forward under the push of elbow push machine, heating and expanding diameter and bending forming in the pipe operation.

The characteristic of hot push elbow is to determine the diameter of the billet according to the law that the volume of metal material remains unchanged before and after plastic deformation. In the process of heating deformation of the pipe, compensation is made to other parts which are thinned due to expanding the diameter, so the elbow with uniform wall thickness is obtained. This is the manufacturing process of pusher elbow.
