Manufacturing technology of reducer

Reducer,one of the chemical pipe fittings,is used to connect two different diameter pipes.According to the different shapes,it can be divided into concentric reducer and eccentric reducer.The material of reducer includes stainless steel,carbon steel,alloy steel,such as ASTM A105,A234 WPB,A403 WP304,WP316,WP321,A182 F5,ASTM A420 WPL6,ASTM A860 WPHY42,WPHY52,etc.

Small and small head (diameter pipe) is a kind of pipe fittings used for pipe caliber.The usual forming process is reduction pressing,expansion pressing or reduction and expansion pressing.Stamping forming can also be used for some specifications of different diameter tubes.

Reduction/Expansion Forming:

The shrinkage forming process of the reducers is to put the tube blank with the same diameter as the reducers into the forming die,and make the metal move and shrink along the die cavity by pressing along the axial direction of the tube blank.According to the size of diameter change of different diameter pipe,it can be divided into one pressing forming or multiple pressing forming.

Stamping forming:

In addition to using steel pipe as raw material to produce reducers,some specifications of reducers can also be produced by steel sheet stamping process.The die used for drawing is designed according to the size of the inner surface of the reducers.The steel plate after cutting is stamped and stretched by the die.

Dry cloth should be used to wipe the socket side and the socket side before the reducers are bonded.When there is oil stain on the surface,acetone should be used to wipe it clean.
