The manufacturing technology of cross
Cross can be divided into equal diameter and reducing diameter.The nozzle ends of cross pipe with equal diameter are the same size;the nozzle size of cross pipe with different diameter is the same,while the nozzle size of branch pipe is smaller than the nozzle size of the main pipe.

Cross is a kind of pipe fittings used at the branch of pipeline.For the seamless tube cross,there are two kinds of technology commonly used at present: hydraulic bulging and hot pressing.
- Hydraulic bulging of cross hydraulic bulging is a forming process of expanding branch pipe by axial compensation of metal material. The process is to use special hydraulic press to inject liquid into the tube blank with the same diameter of cross. The tube blank is extruded synchronously through the two horizontal side cylinders of the hydraulic press. The volume of the tube blank becomes smaller after extrusion. The liquid in the tube blank increases with the volume of the tube blank. When the pressure required for the expansion of the cross branch pipe is reached, the liquid pressure in the side cylinder and the tube blank is double. The branch pipe expands when it flows along the inner cavity of the die under heavy load.
- Hot-pressing forming of cross is to flatten the tube billet larger than the diameter of cross to the size of cross diameter, and open a hole in the part of the drawing branch pipe; the tube billet is heated, put into the forming die, and the tube billet is loaded into the punching die of the drawing branch pipe; under the action of pressure, the tube billet is radially compressed, during the process of radial compression, the metal flows to the branch pipe direction and stretches the punching die. A branch is formed below. The whole process is formed by the radial compression of the billet and the stretching of the branch pipe.
