Grooved pipe fittings mean the pipe fittings have pipe grooved ends joints.They are used to join in both wet and dry system and they provided some flexibility in terms of movement and deflection to the piping system.

Choose the appropriate sealing ring when ordering groove parts.Different media in pipelines require different materials of sealing rings.At present,there are eight different materials of sealing rings in the market for different media.

Pipeline groove is the key technology of pipeline connection,and it also determines the quality of groove connection.The width and depth of the groove must meet the requirements.In grooving,the end of the pipe mouth should be flat and burr-free,and the end should be perpendicular to the axis of the pipe, so that the groove rolled out can be perpendicular to the central axis of the pipe,and the length of the groove to the end of the pipe should be equal.If the ellipticity of the pipe and the wall thickness of the galvanized pipe are uneven,the groove should be corrected as far as possible.Otherwise,the groove will appearuneven depth,which cannot guarantee their tightness.

For groove connection of seamless steel tubes, the products that have been galvanized by regular manufacturers should be selected. If the products are galvanized by purchasing seamless steel tubes and then going out to galvanize, the quality of galvanized steel tubes cannot be guaranteed due to oxidation and rust after long-term storage. The adhesion of galvanized coatings is poor, and the galvanized coatings are liable to crack or even fall off during rolling slots, thus affecting the sealing and service life. In order to achieve good sealing after pipeline installation, besides choosing grooved parts with good performance and ensuring that the sealing ring is not damaged, a layer of neutral lubricant is needed on the flange and outside of the sealing ring during installation to ensure that the lip edge of the sealing ring and the sealing ring of the pipeline fit more closely.

Using of rigid and flexible joints in grooved parts in a proper way. Rigid joints are suitable for the use of pipe ends requiring rigid connections in low-pressure pipelines, such as spray risers, long-distance linear pipelines, valves, equipment and so on. They are required to be used in situations where displacement, rotation and torsion are not allowed to occur in pipelines in order to obtain good rigidity. Flexible joints are suitable for connecting medium and low pressure pipelines. After installation, the pipelines are allowed to shrink and deflect appropriately to compensate for the micro-displacement of the pipelines. They are more suitable for pipeline installation in rough environment. They can also absorb noise, vibration and seismic stress. They are generally used in the intake and outlet pipelines of pumps in fire protection systems.

If the distance of fire horizontal pipe is long, when using hanger, in order to suppress and prevent pipeline channeling, it is suggested to use flexible joint in the middle part to ensure that the axial channeling is not too big, so as not to affect the bending of the lateral branch pipe connected with it.

When installing fire-fighting pipeline with certain temperature difference, when fixing bracket and anti-sloshing bracket are used in pipeline, flexible joint and rigid joint can be used together, so that the axial force produced by pressure or temperature difference change will not affect the bending of transverse branch pipe.
