What is mechanical properties test?
The resistance of metal materials to damage under load is called mechanical properties. The mechanical properties of metal materials are the main basis for the design and selection of parts.Common mechanical properties includes tensile strength, yield strength, elongation etc.
Mechanical properties test principle:
After cold working, the steel is stored at normal temperature for 15-20 days,or heated to 100-200 degrees for about 2 hours. This process is called ageing treatment. In general, the mechanical strength of the steel is increased, and the plasticity and toughness are reduced.
Generally speaking,a poor mechanical property of a metal means that it is easy to break or does not have good extension. The mechanical strength of a pure metal is weaker than the strength of the alloy. For example, the performance of steel is better than that of pure iron.
