Pakistan order of 3D bends with API 5L Gr.B PSL 2
In early March, when the epidemic situation in China started to improve, our factory, Hebei Haihao Pipe Fitting Factory just resumed work and received an order from Pakistan. There are not many products, only some 3D bends of 45 and 90 degrees. However, the material and quality requirements are strict. The material is API 5L Gr.B PSL 2.
3D Bends API 5L Gr.B PSL2
We know that API 5L Gr.B PSL 1 is more common, but PSL 2 requires a bit more. Specifications for API 5L adhere to the International Organization for Standardization ISO 3183,which standardizes pipeline transportation systems within the materials, equipment and offshore structures for petroleum, petrochemical, and natural gas industries. The technical committee authoring the standards recognized that there are two basic Product Specifications Levels (PSL) of technical requirements and therefore developed PSL 1 and PSL 2. PSL 1 is a standard quality for line pipe where PSL 2 contains additional chemical, mechanical properties, and testing requirements.
Our bends are used in different type of environment such as corrosive and non-corrosive. Bends used in severe corrosive environment required material that can withstand such process condition. On other hands for normal services, a standard quality level pipe will also serve the purpose.
