What is stainless steel?
Stainless steel is a kind of steel.Stainless steel refers to which contains less than 2% carbon (C) and more than 2% iron. In the process of steel smelting, chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), titanium (Ti), molybdenum (Mo) and other alloying elements are added to improve the properties of steel, so that the steel has corrosion resistance (i.e. not rust) is what we often call stainless steel.
Why do stainless steels have different steel grades?
In the smelting process of stainless steel, different kinds of alloying elements and different amounts of alloying elements are added. Its characteristics are also different. In order to distinguish, different steel grades are put on the crown. The following is the content table of “alloy elements” of different stainless steel grades for common decoration. Induction of 304 Steel
304 stainless steel is the most common steel, as a kind of widely used steel, it has good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low temperature strength and mechanical properties; stamping, bending and other hot working properties are good, no heat treatment hardening phenomenon (non magnetism, use temperature-196 ~800 °C).

Induction of 304L Steel
As a low carbon 304 steel, its corrosion resistance is just similar to 304 under normal condition, but after welding or stress relief, its grain boundary corrosion resistance is excellent. Without heat treatment, it can also maintain good corrosion resistance, using temperature – 196 ~800℃.
It is applied to field open-air machines in chemical, coal and petroleum industries with high grain boundary corrosion resistance, heat-resistant parts of building materials and parts with difficulty in heat treatment.
Induction of 316 Steel
316 stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance, atmospheric corrosion resistance and high temperature strength due to the addition of molybdenum. It can be used under harsh conditions and has excellent work hardening (non-magnetic).
Seawater equipment, chemical, dyestuff, papermaking, oxalic acid, fertilizer and other production equipment; photography, food industry, coastal facilities, ropes, CD rods, bolts, nuts.
Induction of 316L Steel
As a low carbon series of 316 steel, besides having the same characteristics as 316 steel, it has excellent grain boundary corrosion resistance.
